Nature wants children to be children before they become men. If we deliberately pervert this order, we shall get immature fruits which are neither ripe nor well-flavored, and which soon decay…Childhood has ways of seeing, thinking, and feeling peculiar to itself, nothing can be more foolish than to substitute our ways for them.  Source Rousseau, Jean-Jacques

Teak tree secures professional education for our kids tomorrow

The intelligent Child Teak Education Trust (iCTET) is the first project of its kind where timber from a tree can be used to finance a sponsored child’s higher education or apprenticeship. Graduates are often hit with the reality that a further education can be very expensive. Parents are often overwhelmed by the financial burden of providing, let’s say, a university education for their children. Young adults often depend on some form of financial support to further their education and training.  Sadly, if no education fund has been put aside for them, many have to give up their ambitions altogether.

Forest of Peace’s project, the intelligent Child Teak Education Trust, makes sure that a child born today will be able to pursue a vocational or higher education tomorrow – all costs paid, or in part depending on education or carrier pursued,  and not dependent on the exchange rate or stock market.

The one-time contribution entrusted to the iCTET project today designates a young tree growing on one of Forest of Peace’s plantations to the project. 15–18 years later, when this tree has matured, its timber value will go towards the education of a young adult.

Do the Deed and Support Forest of Peace’s Tree Projects

Forest of Peace is but one contributor to this international movement for clean air. With our Tree Projects like Adopt a Tree or iCTET — intelligent Child Teak Education Trust we give individuals a chance to be a part of the world-wide battle against CO2 without having to leave the comfort of their home. Furthermore, with your one-time adoption payment you not only support a tree, but Forest of Peace will channel your money to support the underprivileged in developing countries with worthy charity projects.
